Between Drôme and Gervanne, nature at the water’s edge
At Gervanne Camping, nature comes to life at the water’s edge.
The campsite is bordered by the Drôme and the Gervanne, two emblematic rivers of the valley that invite you to relax,
swim and discover.
Here, we love to spend time outdoors: reading on the pebbles, cooling off in the Drôme, or simply listening to the murmur of
la Gervanne in the shade of the trees.
And when the sun goes down behind the mountains, the Trois Becs are adorned with golden light, reflections dance on the
river and birds fly over the valley.
The Drômeswimming, canoeing and the good life
The River Drôme runs alongside the lower part of the campsite, offering a unique setting of clear pebbles and turquoise reflections.
The river is alive and changing, revealing all its charm as the seasons go by.
On its banks are small beaches perfect for :
- bathing in complete tranquillity,
- make ricochets or pebble castles,
- family picnic,
- or simply lie in the sun with the lapping of the water as your only soundtrack.
The deeper areas are ideal for swimming, while the quieter parts are ideal for canoeing (departure possible directly from the campsite with our partners).
In summer, the emerald green of the Drôme contrasts with the white of the pebbles – a real tableau vivant.
Picnic tables are set up along the water’s edge to make the most of the place.
A footbridge provides easy access to another, sunnier beach.
The Gervannewild and secret
A more discreet river, the Gervanne, flows below the campsite.
It can be reached on foot via two small footpaths.
It’s a peaceful, cooler and wilder place, perfect for those seeking peace and pure nature.
The Gervanne is classified as a 1st category river: a delight for fishing enthusiasts (fario trout, gudgeon, minnow…).
A fishing permit is required, and we encourage no-kill fishing to preserve the ecosystem.
It’s also a great place to watch kingfishers, dippers and, if you’re lucky, a few beavers or herons in the early hours of the morning.

Preservingthe beauty of rivers
These two rivers are an integral part of the life of the campsite and of our commitment to the preservation of nature.
Their fauna and flora are rich but fragile, a treasure that we wish to share while protecting it.
To preserve their balance :
- Do not build fires on the banks,
- Do not build dams with pebbles,
- Do not pick up stones or pebbles,
- Respect the calm and observe without disturbing.
Thanks to these simple gestures, everyone contributes to preserving the magic of the Drôme and the Gervanne,
so that this place remains a haven of peace for future generations.

The spiritGervanne Camping
Here, we live by the rhythm of the water:
a swim in the Drôme, a siesta on the banks of the Gervanne, a stroll with your feet in the water at sunset
…
These two rivers are the beating heart of the campsite, where everyone ends up.
Nature provides the backdrop, and it’s up to us to enjoy it with respect and wonder.
