Our history and values
Our history :a family adventure since 1965
Since 1965, Gervanne Camping has been a great family adventure.
It all began when Janine and Raymond Gontard decided to transform a cow pasture into a warm and welcoming place for nature lovers.
They planted a wide variety of trees, laid out the first pitches and created a space that encouraged conviviality. Year after year, the campsite has grown while retaining its soul, its local roots and its family spirit.
In 1997, Catherine and Jean-François officially took over management of the campsite, continuing to improve it while preserving its authenticity.
Accompanied today by their brother Emmanuel, they are committed to an eco-responsible approach to tourism.
Over the years, Gervanne Camping has become much more than just a vacation spot:
is a place to return to, where generations meet, and where memories are made every summer.

Today, our campsite continues to evolve with the same philosophy:
to offer a warm and welcoming environment, where everyone can enjoy the peace and quiet, nature and the pleasure of being together.
Here, every tree has a story to tell, every path the story of those who came before us.
We are committed to keeping this heritage alive and passing on this little corner of paradise to future generations.

Our values :a quality approach and a commitment to eco-responsibility
When you stay with us, you choose a campsite on a human scale.
We’re fortunate to be surrounded by an exceptional environment, between the Vercors mountains, crystal-clear rivers and lavender fields.
We’ve always been committed to preserving it, by adopting respectful practices:
water and energy management, selective sorting, waste reduction, use of eco-responsible products…
We also encourage the use of soft mobility to discover the region in a different way, on foot or by bike.
We favor short circuits and work with local producers and artisans.
In the grocery store, you’ll find a wide range of local products: honey, cheeses, delicacies and wines from our beautiful region.
Our restaurant, meanwhile, honors local flavors, for simple, authentic cuisine.
Camping Qualitéa historic label
This professional label brings together over 300 campsites committed to a demanding charter, comprising over 700 criteria divided into 5 main areas of commitment. This charter, which guides us in a continuous improvement process, is validated each year by a visit from a mystery customer.
Our commitments:
A warm welcome
It’s a bit like our family’s DNA: to be available, attentive and present to make you feel good, and to ensure that your stay is serene, pleasant and convivial.
Impeccable cleanliness
Throughout the season, we and our team do our utmost to ensure a high level of hygiene: from the sanitary facilities to the swimming pool, from the paths to the river banks and the whole campsite.
Accurate, reliable information
We strive to provide you with clear, accurate information, whether on our website, our app or on site. You’ll find plenty of practical information, as well as real advice on our region… which we know by heart.
A well-kept pitch or accommodation
We offer spacious pitches, ideal for rest and relaxation. Our grounds are landscaped to ensure that our accommodations blend seamlessly into their natural, green setting.
