Why spring is the best season for camping in the Drôme

Summer vacations are often taken for granted.
July. August. The big reunion.
And yet…
At Gervanne Camping, those who come in April, May or June often leave with the same impression: spring is a season apart.
Spectacular, living nature

In spring, the face of the Drôme valley changes.
The trees turn a soft green, the meadows are adorned with wild flowers, and the light becomes softer.
On the hillsides around Mirabel and Blacons, you can even spot wild orchids. They grow naturally, discreetly and elegantly. A sign that biodiversity is alive and well.
In June, the first lavenders appear.
The Drôme is then in all its beauty.
The perfect time for canoeing

In spring, the river is still well fed.
The water level is ideal for canoeing: neither too low nor too calm. You can take full advantage of the current and the scenery.
This is often the best time to discover the Drôme in a different way.
Cycling paradise

Whether by road bike, mountain bike or cycle touring along the valley, conditions are perfect:
- pleasant temperatures
- quieter roads
- green landscapes
- no heat yet
Between Vercors and Provence, it’s a pleasure to ride.
Ideal weather for outdoor living

In April, May and June, the days are bright without being stifling.
Have breakfast on the terrace.
Enjoy late afternoons outside.
Sleep well at night.
At Gervanne Camping, everything is already open
