L’Auberge des Dauphins – Nature and culture in the Forêt de Saoû
In the heart of the Forêt de Saoû, just a few minutes from Gervanne Camping, you’ll find L’Auberge des Dauphins, a unique, educational site dedicated to the discovery of this exceptional natural territory. Housed in a renovated neoclassical building, it invites young and old alike to explore geology, biodiversity, human history and the relationship between man and nature in this emblematic Drôme site.

The Auberge des Dauphins is more than just a museum: it’s a lively place that combines permanent exhibitions, temporary exhibits and events throughout the season.
🎨 Permanent exhibition
The “Secrets of the Forest” exhibition uses scenography to reveal the natural and cultural riches of the Forêt de Saoû: geology, fauna, flora, management of natural areas and local history.
🧠 Temporary exhibitions & workshops
Each season features temporary exhibitions and fun workshops for children, nature activities, guided walks and themed tours: perfect for families or anyone curious to better understand the forest environment.
🌿 Explore the Forêt de Saoû
The Auberge is an ideal gateway to the Forêt de Saoû, classified as a sensitive natural area for its biodiversity and remarkable geological formations.
From here, you can extend your visit with a stroll along the forest trails, admire the Trois Becs, observe the varied natural environments or simply enjoy this unique setting.

Opening period:
From early April to early November each year.
Last visit begins 30 minutes before closing time.
Guide prices:

– Reduced price: ~4 €
– Free for children < 6 years
– Family package: ~15 € (2 adults + 2 children)
Guided tours and events are offered according to the program.
👉 Access: Silo parking lot (at the end of the forest road), then about 300 m on foot to the main site.

🍽️ Gourmet break at Salon Doré
The Auberge des Dauphins is also home to Le Salon Doré, a restored space where you can take a gourmet break. The restaurant offers tasty dishes and snacks based on local produce in a prestigious period decor.
