La Vélodrôme – The greenway of the Drôme Valley

The Drôme Valley Greenway

From Gervanne Camping, just cross the bridge over the Drôme to join the Vélodrôme, the cycling itinerary in the heart of the valley.

There’s no need for a car here: just cross the bridge… and pedal.

The Vélodrôme is not a loop, but a linear itinerary of around 50 km, following the valley gently towards Saillans, then on to Crest and Loriol. The route alternates between dedicated sections and small, lightly trafficked roads.

🌿 A walk for everyone

The Vélodrôme is :

✔ Suitable for families
✔ Compatible with children’s trailers
✔ Accessible on a classic or electric bike
✔ Ideal for an intergenerational outing
✔ Low gradient

It’s the perfect way to discover the valley at a leisurely pace along the river.

🚲 Our ideas for outings from the campsite

👉 Direction Saillans

A lovely stroll along the water’s edge, perfect for a coffee break or a market.

👉 Direction Crest

You can go as far as the Tour de Crest, stroll around town, have an ice cream…

👉 Direction la Réserve des Ramières

Continuing towards Allex, you can reach the Gare des Ramières, home of the nature reserve.
A great nature and educational outing, ideal for children.

🚆 Taking the train back: smart and practical

The Vélodrôme runs along the valley’s railroad line.
It’s possible to cycle there and back by train from Saillans or Loriol stations.

A perfect solution for families or for those who want to enjoy the scenery without worrying about the return journey.
