Vélodrôme for everyone!
The Vélodrôme: your most beautiful ride between river, villages and unspoilt nature
From Gervanne Camping, you have direct access to the Vélodrôme, a soft path that crosses the valley, linking Saillans to Livron and Loriol.
This is one of the prettiest itineraries in the region: safe, natural, varied and ideal for families and experienced cyclists alike.
The trail sometimes runs alongside water, sometimes through fields, with incredible views of the Vercors. Along the way, you’ll come across lavender (June-July), sunflowers, horses and plenty of swimming spots.
Direct access from the campsite
Leaving the campsite, you can reach the Vélodrôme in just a few minutes, with no complicated routes.
It’s the perfect starting point for :
✔ The Ramières Nature Reserve
An exceptional protected area where you can observe birds, beavers and dragonflies, and take a walk in the heart of nature.
✔ La Gare des Ramières
A fascinating educational site, perfect for families: exhibitions, observatories, workshops…
✔ Local markets
- Crest, Saturday mornings: unmissable, colorful, lively.
- Saillans, Sunday morning: warm village atmosphere.
✔ Villages on the banks of the Drôme river
Terraces, little streets, swimming: a real delight.

Numerous trails leave directly from the trail, in addition to those starting from the campsite.
✔ Return by train if necessary
For those who want to pedal without making the round trip:
Go to Loriol,
Return by train to Crest,
then return quietly to the campsite.
A great combination of bike and train, much appreciated.
A mostly safe track
The Vélodrôme is a very pleasant cycle route.
There are only a few village crossings where you share the road with cars, but the rest of the route is quiet, signposted and safe.

No need to bring your own equipment:
We offer rental of mountain bikes, ATVs and VAEs, including helmets and accessories.
